April 3: This photo does absolutely nothing to show off this dress, but the morning sunlight is too wonky to do too much about. It’s navy, and it’s new. Don’t shoot! I got it last week at Loehmann’s for a grand total of $6.47 because I had a gift card burning a whole in my wallet. Does that still count? You see, I got this gift card from a friend three and a half years ago, never used it, and then was down the street from a Loehmann’s knowing I’d be moving in a week to a place that didn’t have one for 50 miles. So I used it. And stuck as close to the total amount on the card as possible by shopping the clearance rack, where I found this cute little number. It’s Laundry by Design, original price tag $145, and both comfy and adorable, which is always a big win. One day when I’m not wearing my entire wardrobe at a stretch, I can see this becoming a summer staple. Because it was 45 degrees this morning, I added a White House Black Market blazer to the mix, and I completed the ensemble with Sam Edelman 4 inch sandals.
